5 Months Old

5 months.....Where did time go?? It is hard to believe that my sweet baby went from 4 lbs to a whopping 15 lbs. We are so blessed to have her! You know, everyone gives you advice and one that sticks out.........do not hold her all the time you will spoil her...........I am so thankful that I did not take that advice! Time has went by way to fast! These have been the best 5 months of my life! She is loving standing up........that is all we do stand up...sit down! She is trying so hard to sit up and she almost can, it will not be much longer! I love when she can not take her eyes off me , when she smiles then bats her eyes....she is such a flirt and when she laughs, it is the best sound ever!! When she takes a nap and I actually lay her down, I can not wait till she wakes up! I can not thank God enough! You have no idea how long I have waited for these moments!!

A couple of weeks ago my brother, sis and Emily went to Disney World! I can not wait for the day that we can take all 3 girls! Can you imagine the fun they will have running around together.....it will be so much fun!! They were so sweet to bring Sophie Clare a Mickey Mouse hat back and she absolutely LOVED it!!

I feel like I am so far behind on blogging.....I have tons and tons of pictures to post! It is just so hard to get even 15 mins to do anything......my sweet girl is just high maintenance but I would not have it any other way!! So just bare with me. I hope you have a great week!!

Fabulous Friday

Hello everyone, I have not been able to blog in a couple of days. I have been a little tied up with a beautiful baby girl!! So here is what we have been up to! Sophie Clare is trying out her new jumper......she is not to sure about it......she also is a little short for it so I have to put a pillow and a quilt under her so that she can reach!

All I can say here, is that she is loving her prunes and applesauce.......and BOY OH BOY......they are working if you know what I mean ;)

Sophie Clare absolutely LOVES outside!! She is not really setting up on her own yet but she definitely does not like laying down anymore. So, we had to put her in the stroller like a big girl!!

I can just squeeze her to death! I am so thankful for her!!!!

I am still in the process of doing my redecorating! My mantel was so BLAAA, I did not even take a picture of it before! I love it now........and all I have to do is find a couple of pillows for the sofa or some fabric!!

Last Night of Cubbies

It is hard to believe that tonight was our last night of cubbies! It has been a very interesting year! They each had a story to tell every night.....especially Emily......her imagination always kept us laughing!! Thanks goodness we have her again next year!! I have grown to love lots of new boys and girls and will miss them next year.....we have at least 3 that will move up:( I hope to recruit a lot of dedicated boys and girls for next year!!

What a Great Weekend!

Going from the swing to a bed.....not near as bad as I thought. For the past couple of weeks I have been laying Sophie Clare in her bed for naps, it was just time to get out of that swing! She has slept all night for quite sometime now in her swing so the thoughts of getting up in the middle of the night were night appealing at all! The 1st night she slept about 2 hrs and then I ended up putting her in her swing.......2nd night I took the swing down so that I would not be tempted and that was a little sad..(my sweet baby is growing way to fast) she only did 30 mins in her bed...........you may be wondering where she slept after that...ON ME.......the next night about 6 hrs and then last night ALL NIGHT LONG!!!! From 10:00 till 7:15.......She is such my big girl! I should have took her picture when I went in there at 5:00 to check on her, she had scooted herself down so far that her head was in between her wedges!

I am loving my bathroom!! I had this iron piece in the attic.....I hung it above my bath tub and I LOVE it!! I have a dressing table that is an eye sore now.....so I am going to get rid of that and get a taller piece of furniture. I sure to love when a plan comes together!!
Saturday we went to Art on the Lake and there was some really great artist there. One you should check out is http://www.thejollypodgers.blogspot.com/ they had really cute frame and letters!!

Well, those of you that know me well enough will so understand the happiness and joy in my heart right now! Zac preached this morning for youth pastors job at Sardis Baptist and he got it!! YAY!!! To have Natalie back in town is a prayer answered! Some of you may have heard the saying before......."God made us cousins because he knew our parents could not handle us as sisters" It is going to be so much fun having her back!

Busy, Busy Busy

Today was a very busy day, it started off with mom dropping Gracie off! So I had a 4 1/2 month old and a 7 1/2 month old..........It was not so bad, they both took a nap.....ate there fruit....played and watched Praise Babies!! All of this took place in about hour and half!

Later I went to meet my bestie at Mill Street Deli for her birthday lunch! We had the best time and I can not wait to do it again! Sophie Clare slept just about the whole time so when we left Maddie wanted to hold her......she is so good with babies!! I missed Cole being there but it was Maddie's turn to go with just the girls!!

After we got home, Sophie Clare took a nap and while she napped I painted my table and chairs to go on the front porch and I love it!!

If you will notice the ugly porch in the picture.......we are adding on and I can not wait!!

Easter Weekend

So sorry that I am just now getting the Easter weekend pictures up, it has just been so busy!! Saturday was Sophie Clare's 1st Easter Egg Hunt although she stayed inside with her daddy the whole time, she had a blast! There were a lot of kids there and we registered them for VBS!....Seems a little early to be thinking about Bible School but it will be here before you know it!!

I love sweet Farrah Jaye.....It is going to be so much fun next year, all of the cousins will be walking and all over the place!
Emily did not want the BIG kids to get her eggs! lol

Gracie had a good time too!

After the Easter Egg Hunt we all went to my parents house and ate! The food was oh so yummy! Pop bought some baby chicks but you would not believe that I did not get a single picture of them! Gracie's little gums are itching so bad......it will not be long she will have a mouth full of teeth!
Happy Easter Morning! What a great time to be thankful for Jesus dying on the cross for you and me! We took Sophie Clare to her 1st Sunrise Service that started at 6:15am. It was a little windy but I bundled her up good! It was such a pretty morning, Jeff was reading the scripture and the sun was coming up.......It made me think of the morning that Jesus rose! About the time that everything got really quiet.....My Sweet Sophie Clare lets a nice loud tootle...hehehe. I guess that was her way of saying AMEN!

All I can say is what is up with my eyes?? They look so bad and I just glad I can see it! So this week I am going to do something about it!! They are not going to look so dark and like I have a vitamin deficiency!!
The shadows in the pictures are awful but that is what you get in the middle of a sunny day! I am not complaining....I love the sunshine!!
After church we went to my "mawmaw's" and ate and it was so good!

As you can see, Sophie Clare had a fun filled day and was wore out!!

Update on the Bathroom

Bathroom Update.........Whew! Who would have ever thought that I would have trouble finding accessories for this bathroom! I would almost say that I should have left it alone but I love the color!!

I love the silver shells but I am tired of the ladder..........I think it is time for me to go shopping in my attic and see what I can find! Oh my attic is crazy full, I so need to have a clean out day!

I am a little behind on my post but I will do my best to catch up this afternoon!

Friends are Great

Last night I went to dinner with 2 friends from high school! We went to the Courtyard in Gadsden and the food was so yummy! They also have an awesome lunch menu!! We talked about so much from what we are up to now to what we wore in high school! It was fun to remember what we all wore to prom.....sometime I wonder what we were thinking!! We used to wear LARGE men's shirt........why in the world did we wear them so big! LOL!! I will have to get some pics for all to see!! It will put a smile on your face!! Next time we do this maybe more of the girls can go! Thanks for a great time Jodi and Michelle!! This is one of my bestest, Jennifer and her little one Cole! We got up early this morning and headed to Centre to a childrens consignment show! We had lots of fun and found some really great deals!! Jennifer got a Pack and Play for 10.00 plus some other goodies! I got a Rainforest Jumper for 40 , a couple of really cute smocked dresses and baby monitors!!

Cole loved Sophie Clare.......... Jamie had already talked with him about her being a lady.........

After a fun field day, Gran came to visit and put her right to sleep!

Terrific Thursday

I have always enjoyed cooking, but never really had the time! I made these cute chocolate covered marshmallows with sprinkles for my Cubbies at church! Children are so funny.......I have been teaching Cubbies for the past 3 yrs and I have never had a group of such picky eaters! All of them ended up trying them except for Emily......I even broke off some the the chocolate but she would not have any part of it! Maybe she just was not hungry! We have been talking in Sunday School and Cubbies about Easter and what it means.......I will just have to say to hear the children tell you the real meaning just brings joy to my heart!
I will have to say it is good to be at home today!! We have had such a busy week! Yesterday I had 2 doctor appointments......1 of them was the dreaded dentist.........I will just tell you I do not like it at all! My tummy is in knots the night before! Nothing ever hurts I just do not like it! I would have Sophie Clare 100 times over than to have to sit in a dental chair! I am good beside the chair! I can pat you on the shoulder and tell you it is going to be ok.......I can watch teeth being pulled......none of that bothers me! Dad came over and sat with Sophie Clare while I had my fillings done! He is always so sweet to help you anyway he can! I just love him!! Daddy's are great!

This morning we got up way to early.....so after Sophie Clare ate breakfast we went back to sleep till 8:30, we might have slept a little longer had Jamie not called and woke me up! I still love for Sophie Clare to sleep on me but it is so different now, she is so heavy! I talk to Natalie this morning and I took all of these pictures while I was on the phone with her! She is coming home this weekend for her nephews birthday! I sure hope she can squeeze me in!! (I love you)

Tonight I am going to eat with Michelle and Jodi......It is going to be good to catch up!

T is for Tuesday

Well today I worked my one day......I am real confused of why I am working 1 day except that I love my girls! I hate leaving Sophie Clare but it does give her great time with her Gran!! My mom is the greatest and has great things to teach her!! Mom is such a blessing in my life! Thanks mom for always being there!! I love you!
My great sis-n-law, Angie gave me this idea and I think it turned out so cute!! Thanks a bunch! Is she not the cutest baby you have ever seen??? Well I will have to add that Emily, Gracie, Braden, Ben and Natalie rank right there with her!!

I am looking forward to Thursday night, I am getting together with some friends from high school! I can not wait to see you guys! Lots of love!!

I Just Can Not Get Enough

I just can not get enough of these 2 girls! I absolutely LOVE them with my whole heart! They both have 2 totally different personality's and that is what makes them so special! Gracie is just the best baby and always so happy! Emily is full of life and has a great imagination! They both have many more wonderful qualities but to many to name!!
Yesterday after church we went to mom and dad's to eat after church .....(which the choir did an AWESOME job!.....Way to go Betty!) Angie wanted me to take some pics of the girls.......so that is what I did! There were many more that were sooooocute....but here are a few of my faves!!
