Happy Monday

Happy Monday!!
Seems as if I am recap a lot lately, Sophie Clare does not allow much computer time. So, when I am on here and I am in a big hurry.Anyways, on to what has been going on. Sophie Clare has been so much better in her car seat and we let it out a little bit more yesterday. We put her in it to see how much she likes it. I am sure she is thinking.....YAY!! I CAN MOVE!!

We ate at church yesterday and the food was so YUMMY!! After church, Emily and Gracie went home with Gran and Pop. As soon as Sophie Clare woke up from her nap and the rain stopped for a min. We headed down to play. Sophie Clare and Gracie were playing ........Sophie Clare noticed Gracie had a passy and she wanted it. Gracie did not notice it at first..............

Then she noticed it..........it was cute, Gracie would pull on the ribbon and Sophie Clare would pull on the passy. Finally, I just had to get Sophie Clare. The thing is, Sophie Clare just uses it as a chew toy!!

Last night, Jamie went to pick us up something to eat. We all sat at the table. Jamie and I had Mexican while Sophie Clare had pudding!! She has now learned that she can stand up in her high chair.

This morning we got up around 7:30 and Sophie Clare was down for a nap by 9:00. She woke up in a very good mood and it was a good thing because we had some errands to run.

Our first stop was OSA. I only work 1 day and now hours have been cut back so I will not work for a while. So we thought today would be a good day to hang out with the girls. We pick a good one to, they were having a picnic. Sophie Clare loves to go and see the girls, she gets so much attention.

I work with a bunch of readers and a reader I am not! If I had a dollar for all the books they have read since I have been there.............I would be a very wealthy woman!! HEHE
Suzi just started the Twilight and she is loving it!!
I do not see how they read with all of us around but they manage.

After lunch, Sophie Clare went to sleep and we hit SA and GW. Then our weekly trip to Wal-Mart. We had such a good day!!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!

Happy 1st Birthday

Good afternoon, everyone! Friday, Gracie Ruth turned 1. I can not believe it.......it only seems like yesterday that we headed off to Birminham to welcome her into the world. She has always been the sweetest baby and pretty laid back. She is saying several words now and can even say MAGGIE!! You know I was pretty excited about that!!
Saturday was Gracie's birthday party. It was such a cute party, brown and pink. Gracie dress was adorable. She look like a doll baby in it!!
Here is the birthday girl!!

She loves to take her bow out.

She is not walking by herself just yet but can push a toy walking pretty fast.

Emily and Robyn stayed in the playroom most of the time.

Does the table not look beautiful?? Angie did a great job!!

Gracie LOVED the cake. It did not take her long to get her sweet hands in it!!

After everyone had left Chris got out the 4-liter to ride the girls.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRACIE RUTH!!
I love you so very much!!

Peace, Love, and Girl Fun

Friday was a fun filled night. Me and some of the girls from high school went to eat and paint. Jodi came by the house to pick me and Jennifer up.......then we headed over to Michelle's to pick her up. We were going to go to Jefferson's but decided to go to Strut. There wings maybe a little but better than Jefferson's.......DID I JUST SAY THAT??? One of our best guy friends Puckett met up with us. It was great to see him, I had not seen him since WAY before I was preggo. He has just moved to Destin and is living the life.

Me and Jen.........we were so excited about just being together!!

Michell and Jodi

Puckett was a trooper, he fits right in with us. Ladies he is single, living at the beach....what a catch!!

After we finished eating we headed on over to Peace, Love and Pottery. I was so excited about painting pottery. I can not wait to go back!

The girls..........We are ready to pick out our pottery!

Jennifer chose a cup for her little girl.
Michelle painted bowls and coasters, along with Puckett.
Jodi did a beautiful blue vase and me I painted a rooster on a plate.

My next post is going to be Gracie Ruth's birthday!!!

Oh How Sweet The Sound

The title says it all for what happen today. My sweet baby said her very 1st word...........MAMA!!! How sweet the sound of that little voice calling for me!! I never realized how great it would feel to hear that word. It seems like we have been working on it forever. Jamie has been so sweet to work on it instead of dada. For a couple of days now Sophie Clare has said mmmma and I thought....Is she saying mama?? She did it again this morning and I said to myself........I will just pay close attention. She is at the stage that she does not like me to walk out of the room. Today I walked away for a min and all I could here was.......MAMAMAMAMA. It was the best feeling ever!! I just get chills thinking about how blessed I am to have a daughter to say mama!!!!
THIS GIRL IS INTO EVERYTHING!! Yesterday we got home from the dr and I could hear her opening and closing the cabinet door. Then all of the sudden it got really quite.......I walked in the kitchen and this is what I saw..................A little girl going through the cabinets.

The child has never ever worn a pair of shoes. She has tons of shoes and I was going through to see what all she had for Fall. I tried a couple of pair on her and let her crawl around.....she looks so different in shoes. Then I noticed something looked a little funny........I had them on the wrong feet. HEHE

I believe that I am going to have to lock my cabinets up. She is forming a habit of this.

Have a great night and sleep tight!!

Love Me Some Treasures

I had so much fun joining Leigh for Thrifty Thursday last week, I just had to do it again. Be sure to go on over to Tales of Bloggeritaville and check out the great finds of the other HAPPY THRIFTIERS!!

Last week, Sophie Clare and I hit the thrift stores in Gadsden. I found a couple of things I was looking for. I wanted a Silver tray to paint with chalk board paint. YAY!! I found it at GW for $1.00.

I have been on the look out for shelves. I am wanting a couple for Sophie Clare's room when we get finished with the add on and for my office space. I got this for $3.00.

Saturday morning we hit the sales. I will just tell you that it seem to be a little off. I did not spend much at all. I had been wanting a wall pocket for my front door to put flowers in and I found it for $2.00. I love to find what I am looking for, that makes it all worth while!

I got these frames a couple of weeks ago for about $2.00. I can not decided if I am going to paint them or leave them. I am not sure if you can tell the color but they are almost the robbin egg blue with a gray hint.
I got this for $1.48. I put it in my laundry room and when I find the perfect shelf.......it will go above it!!

I am looking forward to see what you all found!!

This and That

Just a whole lot of this and that.......seems like I just do not have a lot to blog about today, so we will just play catch up! My sweet baby has a runny nose again, Saturday, we went for a walk, she sneezed and the nose started pouring and she started drooling like crazy. I feel like a tooth is in the near future. We have not had one in quite a while.
My sweet baby girl is always right with me........I have started something that I am sure that I should not have.......She wants to be in my lap while I am on the computer and it is so hard to type that way so I set her on the desk to play....She is so rotten.

I am so rambling. HEHE
There is a children's boutique in Gadsden that had the cutest tutu's. They are a little $$. Angie found a GREAT one at TJ Maxx so I just had to go and get Sophie Clare one. I am going to do some birthday pics of her in it eating her cake.

How is the construction project?? SLOW!!! We went to Marvin's this past weekend and got the blue foam stuff that goes on the outside of the house. It is up and ready for siding, now we just have to get my wonderful brother up to help put it up. The electrician came this week to look at the job and he is suppose to get to it this week. I just dread them knocking out the wall, I am so afraid it is going to be a mess. I know that it will be worth it in the end..........I am ready to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I am going to end by telling you that I had the greatest dinner EVER!! Do you like........black eyed peas, corn bread, ham, turnip greens.........well if you do.....you will love this....I do not know the name of it but it is out of Southern Living Magazine and I will be posting the recipe. My mom was sweet enough to share with me. Needless to say, Jamie would not even try it!!
I hope you all have a great week!
