I was really sad that I did not have Miss Alabama to pull for. Usually I have a couple of girls that I just really love, not this time.  I did like Miss Tennessee but I am very pleased with there choice. I felt sorry for the girl in the evening wear comp, she sort of tripped.......That would just be awful. Miss Colorado really strutted her stuff in the swimsuit comp.  The talent is always very good, the piano is my fave!!

I always enjoy watching any of the pagents. I love to see what they are wearing, that is my favorite part.

I few years back, my cousin Natalie was Miss Gadsden State and participated in Miss Alabama!!  We traveled to Birmingham 4 nights to watch her. It was tons of fun!!  I think she would have made a great Miss Alabama!!

Lunch With The Girls

Are these girls not the cutest ever??

I know I sure think so, but hey they are mine.

I was talking to Angie this morning, we were talking about what we were going to do today. My plans were to stay at home but when Angie said that tomorrow was going to be really cold and I think maybe some rain. I thought we might ought to get out of the house today. She later called back and wanted to know if we wanted to meet her for lunch.  Of course we did. We met at  The Cupboard at 11, with all the girls dressed alike.  We had such a good time and so did the girls. I will be the first to tell you it was like a circus. Sophie Clare wanted to stand up in her chair and if either one of us walked away, Gracie and Sophie Clare would yell at us. Needless to say, Angie and I are ready to hit dinner all by ourselves.

When we finished lumch, I had the bright idea of walking over to the local wedding chapel and trying to get some pics of the girls. Sophie Clare and Gracie both were running in different directions.

Eat Fresh

Happy Tuesday!!

I am always a day behind but that is ok.

 I worked today, so this is going to be short and sweet.

Yesterday I really needed to do some cleaning but I decided that we should go and feed

the ducks at Noccalula Falls.  I called Jamie to see if he wanted to meet us and of course he did.

When we walked outside, I did not relize how cold it was. The wind was blowing pretty hard. We ended up meeting Jamie at Subway. Lunch was so yummy, the bread was so fresh!! I always get the same thing.......A CLUB! I think I should branch out. After lunch Jamie and I decided that we would carry Sophie Clare over to see the ducks and just not stay very long. We bundle the sweet baby up and pushed her in her stroller. I can not wait till Summer. I have a feeling we will meet there a lot for lunch!!

The falls........AMAZING!!! It had rained a lot Saturday night and Sunday, so it was flowing so fast.  As I was taking this picture, I was getting wet.

Sophie Clare really enjoyed watching the ducks eat.

 We have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow.......hair, funeral, Wal-Mart & church.

What have we been up to??

Let's see...........

Thursday we met Jamie for lunch at The Cupboard and it was oh so YUMMY!!

Friday we entertained my mom for most of the day. Mom and dad are in the process of getting new windows.......who wants to be at home with construction going on. So, mom showed up at the house around 9 and we hit the grownd running at 10. We went to our favorite lunch spots The Courtyard. They have the best veggie plate in town!!   We also went to the mall and a couple of other places. I got Sophie Clare a cute outfit for Summer and a couple of new dresses! I can not wait for her to wear them!

When we finally made it back home, Sophie Clare wanted to walk around outside.  I thought it was a perfect time to get a few pics.

Later that night, dad and mom kept Sophie Clare so that we could go and eat. We just went to Applebees and what drama went on at the table next to us.

Believe It or Not

Good Morning!!

I know that you are going to be totally shocked.

Tuesday night, Angie and I did not go to and eat WINGS.

We decided that we were burn out, so we decided to go Mexican.   

If we decide to go there more, the waitress or the waiter is going ot have to get used to us just sitting for a while.

 We could talk for hours.

This is a short and sweet post. Sophie Clare is right under ready for me to get off the computer.

Oh these girls are a MESS!!

Elizabeth was such a tease with the KISS ME or  DON'T KISS ME. You know she wanted him to really kiss her!! That is just crazy!!!! I can't blame him for booting her out.

Michelle was a drama queen and never smiled unless Jake walked in the room. Hello, 2 personailties. Glad he did not ask her to stay.

Ashley seems really sweet and I want him to get to know her better!!

Jake and Ella's date was just so sweet. I was so excited when she saw her little boy. When they were hugging, I almost cried. I know she misses him like crazy.

Vienna.......all I know is that I do not think that they are a match. She can not get along with the other girls. I do think it is not very nice that the other girls are not staying in her room. That is just mean!!

Tenley, bless her heart.  She seems really sweet and I hate that she got burned before all this. I do think she needed to date a bit before coming on the show. That is just odd to me.

There are a few more but these are the ones that made the biggest impression.

Pure Sweet

Praise the LORD for sunshine!!!

It has been cloudy, rainy and yucky for the past 2 days!!

Sunshine does the body good.

She has been climbing this morning.  I know that it is just going to get worse the taller she gets.

She LOVES to sit in her basket. Most of the time she will leave the toys in and just sit on top of them. Sometime she thinks she needs an empty basket to sit in.

Sophie Clare LOVES her mommy and I do her. I love her giving me her sweet WET kisses. They are the best!!

I looked at her last night and asked Jamie is she real or is she just a dream. I can not imagine life without  her!!

I just laughed out loud when I saw this picture. If  you look close there is a string of drool.

Nothing exciting this weekend, just really low key. I am ready to do something FUN and go somewhere different. I am going to see what I can come up with for the weekend.

I have just been AWFUL about leaving comments to my faithful blog friends!!  I barely get enough time to blog with Sophie Clare pulling at my leg or arm much less comment. Apparently

I NEED HELP!!!

I am in a decorating slump. I have never had this much trouble. Inspiration has always come so easy but not anymore. I think a lot of it has to do with SOPHIE CLARE, but I would not change that for anything!!

My living room is what you see when you come through the door and it is just BLAH!! I have been looking online for ideas and I just do not see much that I like or the look I want. I have never been afraid of color, all of my rooms are different colors and I love all kinds of fabric.

I love this PINK and GREEN. I am not sure Jamie would love it so much considering that we have 2 pink rooms already.

My mantle is so dull right now and that is really the main focal point in my living room.

Oh the dreaded bedroom.........I have not like it in forever. I have been tossing up the idea of painting it. I would really like to have a green room!!

I love brick in this bedroom and it has such a romantic feel. I love the chandelier!!

In this bedroom , I am loving the dress form. I have one in the attic I would love to put somewhere.

White Chili

Good Morning!!

Sophie Clare and I are up way to early this morning!! She did not go to bed till 10:30 last night because of her late nap at church. I was sure that she would sleep late because she went to bed so late. I bet she takes an early nap!!

I love Winter.........foods that is, there are so many yummy soups to make!! I shared this recipe with Allison (a girl I work with) and I know my sis had been wanting it!!

WHITE CHILI

1 can great northern beans drained and rinsed

1 can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted

2/3 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1 cup diced cooked chicken

I always add a little garlic and onion powder for some added flavor.

Stir in beans, soup, milk, cumin, garlic and onion. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for about 20 min. Stir in chicken; heat through.

Garnish with Monterey Jack Cheese.

This only serves to but for more just double!!!

Yesterday, I just had to get out of the house. So, we headed to the thrift stores. I found Sophie Clare some really cute books but that was about it. We also went and got my nails done. I thought she was going to sleep while they did them but she woke up the min. we got there. Since they were not busy, I thought I would try it. Sophie Clare was GREAT!! She sat in my lap for a long time and just watched. Then I let her down and she just walked around!! I was so proud of her.

My Sweet Girl

HELLO ALL!!

This morning I had to get up bright and early to get ready for work.......FOR WHAT?? That's right, work. I only work 1 day and I don't mind going so much but the getting up and getting ready.....Oh that is a dread. Sophie Clare was excited to stay with Gran today. She went right to her, waved and said DI...That is her BY.

It was a good day to be back at Oral Surgery Assoiciates. The girls I worl with are great and the dr is wonderful because he is sweet enough to let me work 1 day a week and let me off for a month if I want!! I am so very blessed!!
