The Grandparents Came

Good Morning!!!

It is a beautiful morning!!

The birds are eating and singing.

The sun is shining bright and is warm!

What shall we do today??

WHO KNOWS.........all I do know, is that I am headed to Villa with Angie tonight!!

Yesterday we got up and got busy. Sophie Clare was going to have some very special vistiors.

Her granna, great granny and great mawmaw and pawpaw.

They had not seen her since February.

First we  had a visit from Braden and Aunt Janine then we had a visit from Gran and Emily!! 

It was just a day of vistitors.  

Emily and Gran did not stay very long. Just long enough for Emily to swing and slide.

I bought Emily a big girl swing but we do not have it up yet. Although she did not seem to mind the baby swing. lol

It took Sophie Clare a while to warm up but when she did she was all about her great mawmaw and pawpaw. Her and pawpaw were so cute. They just played.

Last night after church.  We had taken our baths and relaxing for a while. I decided I needed some ice cream. I   heard Sophie Clare moving her music table but did not realize that she was moving it stand on.

She is such a mess!!

Hi fellow bloggers and readers.

It was windy and very cool today!!

Ok, 1st off..................I know that my sweet baby girl will be 17 months in just a few days.

When we went to Sophie Clare's 12 month check up, she was broke out and they did not want to give her shots. Well, I have put it off and put it off...........I know, I'm AWFUL!!!!

Today was the day, we went and poor baby had to get 4..........4 I tell you, that is WAY to many for my sweet baby. She got 2  in the arm and 1 in each leg. When the lady was getting it ready, it was like Sophie Clare knew what was coming. She was already holding on tight and crying!! I wanted to cry myself!!

When we finished we headed to Sonic and got a grape cream slush and that made it better. Then we had to run to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things and we bought a puzzle. We got home and she napped a while and then we visited my grandmother.  We got a surprise visit from Jennifer and her kiddos

Sophie Clare called it a night early, I think those shots got the best of her. She was fussy and sleep seem to be the only thing that was going to help!!

Angie had went to Sally's and bought this for her feet.  She said it was wonderful , so I had to get some. I will let you know how it worked tomorrow!!

I am so glad I did not pay big money for her bed.

It is sad the number of times she has slept in it.

Anyways, I do believe that I am getting ready to get her a big girl bed. I have tried a few times to lay her down in it and  she wakes right up. I don't know what it is but that girl is not sleeping in a baby bed!!!

A Dream, I Wish

WHAT A WEEKEND??

A weekend full of rain and storms.

When I say storms, I mean a TORNADO hit very close to home.

  Albertville, Alabama!!!

 My husbands home town, home of the Aggies,  Million Dollar Ave, 1st Baptist Church, the satellite office to OSA.  

I have not had internet in 2 days......I have missed it and I am thankful to have it back but as I sit here............I just think about how blessed I am. I have food to eat, a roof over my  head,  my pillow to lay my head down on. There are so many that lost so much Saturday night. I have saw a few pictures but that is all. It just seems unreal to see the damage. It will never look the same. Saturday night right before it hit, we were watching the weather and then all of the sudden.......cable, phone and internet were gone. We tuned into the radio but could not find much. Finally we did and listen close to see what had happened and what was going to happen next. Sophie Clare did not go to bed till 11:00 and then at 12:00,  the weather siren went off and it was headed our direction. Jamie thought it would be best if Sophie Clare and I got in the closet. We did and she never woke up and THANKFULLY  nothing ever happened.

I pray for the community, it is going to be a long hard road.

 My heart hurts for them.

Back to SaturDAY......

It was a rainy day and it was going to be a LONG day if we had to stay in the house all day. So we got ready and hit the local mall.

  Sophie Clare LOVES to ride the carousel.

When we got home, Jamie had not looked at the paper in a while. He had lots of catching up to do.

Sophie Clare decided  she would help daddy read the papers.

Yesterday the crowd was a little off at church because of the storm. Several of our members are from that area and were without power. We had a different service..........we sang, fellowshipped, read scripture, and just thanked and praised GOD!!!

Today we stayed around the house. It is amazing what you do without internet.....I worked on cleaning out my closet and my shoes.

I am so excited!!

 I have been looking for Sophie Clare a 1 piece smocked bathing suit since last year.

I finally found one and it came today!! It is so cute and I can not wait to try it on her.

Remember those who are going through hard times and remember to be thankful!!

The Pet Shop

Hello all!!

It is a RAINING like pouring t t out of a boot.

Have you ever heard that saying?? All night last  night, all day today and well it is night time and it is STILL raining. Bad weather is coming and I will be glad when it is gone!!

Yesterday was beautiful!!

We had to get up and get a move on.  Johnna was going to trim my hair around 12 and I needed to make a couple of stops. We ended up having a little extra time so I thought it would be fun to take Sophie Clare to the pet store.

Now get ready, all of the pics look pretty much the same.............

The RATS were her favorite, mainly because they were so full of energy. They were running back and forth plus running on there wheele. Now matter how much she liked them.........We will NOT be getting a RAT!! YUCK-O!!

She kept trying to get closer and closer.

She enjoyed looking at all the fish.  Although fish are not new to her. She feed the fish all the time at Gran and Pops.

The birds were pretty but boring.

She loved watching the turtle. There was one that was just putting on a show.

Beyond Beauty is where Johnna does hair and they have it decorated so cute!!

When we got home, we napped and then Braden came to play.

Sophie Clare was all about giving Braden some love.

Now, Sophie Clare knows how to ride this.........why she thinks it is so fun to puch it, I'll never no.

Braden was sweet enough to help her.

Mom and dad went to keep my nieces last night so that my brother and Angie could have a date night. Since Jamie had to mow and we could not be out in the yard. We decided to go and play. We had such a good time and can not wait to go back!!

I LOVE HER

I could not imagine how much I would LOVE this little girl!!

She just melts my heart more and more everyday!!  We were at my parents house the other night andI got some really cute pictures of Sophie Clare playing.

My grandmother LOVES when Sophie Clare will walk around with her hands on her hips. She doesn ot do it often but when she does, she is usually thinking.

She is about to do her high step.

For Sophie Clare to be so into babies, make-up, clothes, shoes.....you know, all that girly stuff.

A Sweet Surprise

I am loving this weather!! 

It is just beautiful.

Sophie Clare starts out early wanting to go outside. I try and wait till after nap because if we ever go out before, she wants to be out ALL day!!  If she would not ROAM around so much, I could work in my flower beds. That girl is always on a mission!!  As most of you know, I usually work one day a week. I have not the past couple because of all of the sickness. My mom is finally feeling much  better!! 

Yesterday morning we were getting ready to head to Wal-Mart.  Sophie Clare loves to run around in her diaper. I was ironing her clothes and all I could hear was her stomping down the hall. I did not go look, she is always making loud noise. When I finished, I went to get her and this is what I found.

A sweet baby girl wearing her frog boots that are to big. Well, 1 frog boot. hehe

I got her clothes on her and I went to brush my teeth. When I came back, she had the frog boot on again. By this time I am a little concerned that she is not going to want to take it off.

She did and was ok with it!!

On the way, I called Angie and spur of the moment........

we ended up meeting her and the girls at Chick-Fil-A.

I had not layed my eyes on these girls in about 2 weeks and I was missing ALL 3!! 

They have a great indoor play area. 

This was Sophie Clare's 1st time and she was not to sure about it!! I am sure she will grow to LOVE it!!

When we got home, we played outside. It was a little too cool for the water table so I just pushed Sophie Clare in her car.
