The Zoo Crew

On Friday, Jamie decided to take off to have a long 4 day weekend. We took off to Birmingham to the zoo and look for bedding.  We hit the YUMMY Milo's first and then it was off to see the animals. Sophie Clare slept most of the way there and she woke up just in time. When we got there we headed out to see the monkeys first. Sophie Clare LOVES monkeys and makes the sweetest monkey sounds.  Was she overly impressed with the monkey's?? Only the big one and the one that put his hands on the glass. 

Then it was off to see a few birds and some kangaroos. She really liked them.........they were hopping around everywhere.

We saw flamingos, ducks, turtles, goats, chickens, sheep, ect.............................What did she love the most??  The carousel!! She smiled the whole time and just squealed. She enjoyed going around then all of the sudden seeing her da.

Oh how this little girl loves her freedom to walk where ever she wants...............

I love her so much!!

I never would have thought she would have sat on these animals but she did!!

Sophie Clare loves her animal book but I think the zoo was almost a little over whelming..........we will try it agian very soon!!

It was very hot and I packed her bathing suit so that she could cool off in the sprinklers.

She was not sure about all those other kiddos.

Then she thought she might as well see what it was all about.

We had such a good time looking at things through her eyes!!

I took some pitcures of some other things but I am saving those for another time!!

Outdoor Treasure

Hello to all!!

It has been a yucky kind of day!

I am ready for the rain to be gone and the sun to shine!!

It is that time again to show the treasures off! I will tell you that this is not what I had planned to show. I uploaded some pics at my mom's and when I got home................I deleted them. It is 10:30 here and I just laid Sophie Clare down. This post is short and sweet due to my craziness!!

I love this old rocker.  My dad found it for me..........$20.00. I have had it for a couple of years and I am sad to say that I still have not worked on it!  I am hoping to paint it before the Summer is over.

It's A Celebration

My mom's birthday was last Monday and considering she was under the weather, we did not get to celebrate till Thursday night.  My mom went and got the girls earlier that day and they came to the house to play for a bit. We all had such a good time, swinging, swimming and riding the 4-wheeler. We had a great dinner, although it was a little crazy with all the girls needing different things. All we knew when we got started is that we were hungry and when we finished we were not.

Emily used to get in this little car when she was little. She is growing up way to fast!!

Monkey See, Monkey Do.......This girl is just a Monkey Do. She does not need to see anyone do it first, she is more than capable of coming up with her own ideas.

Hey, I see something to ride..........I am sure she thought.

Oh I can climb up there.........I know I can.

With NO help at all she did it, ALL BY HERSELF!!

He does to me!! After 32 years of my life seeing my daddy with a mustache.........he shaved it!! I could not believe it my eyes. Is it growing on me.........That is the question!!

The Cupboard

I am always talking about The Cupboard but never showing pictures. If you are familiar with Attalla, Alabama........Antique Ally.  It is downtown with lots of antique shops, a 2nd hand children shop, a shop called Blossems that you just have to see and a thrift store that I have never been in.

The Cupboard is located at the end of the block, next to the bank.

They are only open Wednesday - Saturday. They always have a daily special and they are good but my all time favorite is the Chicken Salad. Sophie Clare loves it just as much as I do.

They also have very good sandwiches.

SWEETS........Oh they have the best sweets ever!!!

You just have to try them!!!

Beach Bound

I so wish I was beach bound. We always go after school starts back..........the crowd is gone, the wait for eating is over and you have the beach and pool all to yourself. That is the way to go if you ask me.  Last year, I just could not see going. Sophie Clare was not a very good rider. I am wondering if we should still wait till school starts because of the oil.  It  is not looking good for them to get it under control.  I mainly want beach pics of Sophie Clare but I would like to enjoy the sand and sun for a bit.

Anyways, onto yesterday...........we had to hit Wal-Mart with full force. Everytime I turned around, I was out of something and let me tell you....................I forgot stuff and had to get Jamie to pick them up. I feel so scattered sometimes!! 

It was hot yesterday, so when we go home I put on Sophie Clare's bathing suit hoping she would enjoy the pool.

We played with our new sidewalk chalk for a while.

She was uses the chalk for make-up and we can't do much without her beads.

The bow is hanging on with a prayer. Just look at that sweet face.......I could kiss her for hours.

She did enjoy the pool for a while.

I could not believe she wanted to wear her sunglasses.

This girl is ready for the beach!!

Instead of heading for the sand.........she is headed for the rocks.

After all of the fun  in the sun, she had to give it up.
